FAQ
Do I have to wear a helmet when tobogganing?
Children up to the age of 15 must wear a helmet. Wearing a helmet is also recommended for adults. Head protection reduces the risk of injury many times over. Above all, speed is most often underestimated, but collisions with other tobogganists who stop directly behind the bend, for example, can also occur.
Should children sit behind or in front of the adult?
Of course, everyone has to decide for themselves whether to sit behind or in front, but it certainly doesn't hurt to think about it.
Most adults put their children in front of them on the toboggan. However, please note that in the event of a collision/impact, the child may be ‘squeezed’ between the obstacle and the adult. If the child sits behind the adult, the impact is cushioned by the adult's back, thus minimising the risk of injury.
If the child is still too small to sit behind independently, it is advisable to adjust the speed accordingly!
Can my dog go tobogganing with me?
No dogs! Four-legged friends must stay at home during the tobogganing fun. The risk of collisions is too great.
From what age can my child use the toboggan run?
Children up to the age of 6 should ride on their parents' toboggan! For families with small children, we recommend the ‘Bärenrutsch’ toboggan run on the Hochbichl right next to the church in Berwang.
