The hut is also open daily in winter and can be reached on skis with the Rastkopf panoramic cable car, making it a worthwhile hiking destination in summer, which can be reached from Berwang within an hour's walk.

The Kögelehütte is located on a beautiful plateau and there are two different options for the way back.

Both in summer and winter, the hut can be easily reached on foot via the cleared hiking trail, but also by bike, pushchair and toboggan. The mountain lifts offer another ascent option and as the restaurant is located directly on the piste, it also invites all winter sports enthusiasts to take a break and recharge their batteries.
