Cross-country skiing & ice sport in Berwang-Bichlbach
The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena has long since established itself as an excellent cross-country skiing area. 110 groomed km of runs – classic and skating – are available for free throughout the entire winter sport region. The vast majority of the runs are connected, which means you can access and exit them at any time. Numerous connecting routes allow ambitious cross-country skiers to discover new runs every day. If your fitness levels aren’t good enough for the way back, there’s no need to worry as you can take the ski bus for free with your guest card.
The runs in the Berwang-Bichlbach region start either at the valley station of the Almkopfbahn in Bichlbach or at the valley stations of the Mooslift and Thanellerkarlift in Berwang. Access is also possible at the car park of the Panoramabahn Rastkopf. If you’d like to give cross-country skiing a shot or want to improve your style and technique, then book cross-country training at the ski school in Berwang. Tip: you can rent modern cross-country skis and equipment locally at affordable rates.
