Paraglider on the Almkopf

Have you dreamed of flying through the air like a bird? Or are you already obsessed with paragliding? The starting point for all those who want to see their holiday region from a paraglider’s perspective is on the Almkopf, the approx. 1,800 m mountain between Berwang and Bichlbach. Easily reach the start with the Almkopfbahn from Bichlbach or with the Almkopfbahn from Bichlbach. Arriving on the Hochalm, walk up the mountain on the track for approx. 15-20 minutes until you’ve reached the start of your flight adventures.

Gliding from the Almkopf to the landing station in Bichlbach, you will enjoy the amazing view of the Zugspitze, the entire deep valley and the Allgäu Alps. If you aren’t a proficient paraglider or are new to flying, why not try a tandem flight! The nationally certified pilots and flight instructors of the Flugschule Alex Rauter - with more than 20 years of experience each - have flown several thousand times. The paraglider flights are offered all year and also at other start points in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena.

Choose between panoramic flights, couple flights and thermal lift flights, or just book a regular flight day to get the most out of paragliding. Normal endurance and a proper taste for flying are all you need as there’s no age limit for paragliding. What’s important are sturdy, ankle-high shoes and clothes fitting the season, because paragliding is an experience in all seasons! The only limit is that of weight. Tandem fliers must weigh no less than 30 and no more than 100 kilos.
